Hawkins provides some very good food for thought when we consider Daniel's response to his situation and how followers of Jesus ought to respond to circumstances in our world.
If you feel like culture is going down the drain, this book would be one to read. I bet you would gobble this up and want all of your friends to read it.
This is a smaller hardback book that would be a quick read in the winter months or even just to pick up and read a bit at a time during the evening after dinner.
I wouldn't say there is anything earth-shattering as far as insights and "how-tos" but it was an enjoyable read and it made me think more about the world around me.
