Red

This is the CIA's version of Space Cowboys. You have a group of old, retired agents who are thrust back into action in order to solve a conspiracy.

Red stands for Retired, Extremely Dangerous. It stars a stellar cast of greats: Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, Karl Urban and Morgan Freeman.

Bruce Willis is a lonely ex-agent who finds himself in the cross-hairs of a special wet team. Wanting help, he grabs his old team, Malkovich, Mirren and Freeman, in order to discover who wants them killed and why.

Karl Urban plays the CIA agent in charge of their disposal.

There are some wonderful action moments and John Malkovich is as funny as ever. He is the best part of this movie by far.

I felt jilted by the Morgan Freeman character - or at least how his character was dealt with.

It almost feels like watching the 80s version of Bruce Willis and his movies of that decade where there's serious explosions with a high mix of laughs while they don't quite take themselves seriously.

This is a terrific movie to rent for a weekend.
